The Creative Challenge

The Veggie Pit is a visionary vegan restaurant concept—the first of its kind in South Florida. The brand needed to capture the boldness of fire-grilled plant-based cooking while creating a social space for the vegan community. My goal was to build a high-energy identity that breaks clichés and puts grilled vegan food front and center in culture.

The Creative Process

The creative process began with a thorough discovery phase, where I defined the brand strategy, target audience, and overall tone to align with the unique vision of a grill-only vegan restaurant. From there, I moved into design exploration, developing initial logo concepts, experimenting with color studies, and pairing typography that captured the brand’s bold, charred, yet approachable identity. To execute the visual system, I used Adobe Illustrator for logo development, web and social media assets, Photoshop for branded mockups, and InDesign for the menu layout. Throughout the process, my approach was grounded in creating bold visual contrast, building a flexible branding system, and prioritizing messaging that speaks directly to the vegan community and their social culture.

The Result

The Veggie Pit brand system balances bold personality and practical flexibility. It creates an ownable identity that elevates vegan culture through grilled cuisine, drawing attention while building community.
